He is from the famed Ohlde beef herd in Kansas that is known for producing exceptionally maternal beef cattle that are unparalleled in feed efficiency. Tabasco's dam, Jazzy 250J is a model beef cow. She also happens to be the dam of Jake's Proud Jazz 266L. In addition, he is sired by 'Prince of Jazz' who happens to be Ohlde's replacement for Proud Jazz and now runs the pastures at JDMC Cattle Co. in MN.
